Ray is an SRA Director with deep experience in credit and special assets. He has been in community banking for over 21 years. He began his career as a credit analyst for Fidelity Federal Savings Bank in 1994. Ray’s responsibilities included underwriting and ultimately, all phases of account management. He later became a commercial lender upon the bank’s acquisition by BB&T in 1998. Ray then joined First Capital Bank in 2001 as a commercial lender where he developed and managed a loan portfolio in addition to serving on the bank’s Asset/Liability Committee, sitting on the bank’s title company board. He was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2012 when he became the Special Assets Team Leader. Under Ray’s leadership, First Capital successfully executed on an asset resolution plan that was the centerpiece of a capital raise closed in 2012.
Ray earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a concentration in Management Systems and Finance from the University of Richmond. He is also a graduate of the VBA School of Bank Management.
