Russ Bernthal retired in January 2021 as Senior Vice President of Jack Henry & Associates and President of ProfitStars®, a division of Jack Henry & Associates, Inc.®(NASDAQ: JKHY) that serves approximately 9000 clients, including the majority of the largest 100 U.S. banks and credit unions. The company serves traditional corporations as well as public sector and international entities. Bernthal began his career in computer operations in 1979 at Warshawski & Company and launched his first company at the age of 26 selling IBM® PCs and accounting systems. In 1992, he became Senior Vice President of Consulting for SHL System house where he was responsible for their Midwestern Systems Integration practice. In 1998,he took the position of Executive Vice President at Parks Consulting where he specialized in the financial services industry. Bernthal joined Jack Henry in 2005 through the acquisition of Tangent Analytics, Inc. where he served as President and CEO. He has more than 40 years of entrepreneurial and leadership expertise in software products, consulting services, business development and profitable operations throughout the global market. He has led or participated in the development of five different product and consulting companies during his career. He is a past board member and President of the Association of Financial Technology (AFT). Bernthal earned BA degrees in Business Administration and Psychology from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin and an MBA with a Finance concentration from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. He lives in Winston-Salem, North Carolina with his wife Lisa, has two married children and four grandchildren.
